One Wallet, a New Home & a Guided Start

Tokens are now the only currency on GoPilot. Each GoBox run has a fixed token price, failed runs are refunded automatically, and you can buy token packs that never expire on any plan. GoPilot also has a new public home at gopilot.earth, where release notes now live. This update adds a guided tour for new users, a consistent mobile chat with a floating map button, and the new GoPilot branding.

🚀 Release Summary: One Wallet, a New Home & a Guided Start

The Headline: One currency for everything. GoBox runs are now paid in the same tokens as GoPilot, at a fixed price per run, with automatic refunds when a run fails. GoPilot also has its own public home at gopilot.earth, a guided tour for newcomers, and a cleaner, more consistent experience on desktop and mobile.

📦 What’s in this Update?

🌍 GoPilot Has a Home: gopilot.earth

  • New landing page: GoPilot now has its own public landing page at gopilot.earth.

  • Public release notes: Release notes now live on the landing page, where anyone can read and share them. When you open a release from Settings, it opens on gopilot.earth in a new tab, so you don’t lose your place in the app.

  • A new look: The app now carries the GoPilot logo.

🪙 One Currency: Tokens for Everything

  • GoBox runs are paid in tokens: The euro account balance has been retired. Every GoBox solution now has a fixed price per run, shown on its card, and it is paid from the same tokens you use with GoPilot.

  • Know the cost before you launch: The launch page shows what a run costs next to your balance, and lets you know before you submit if you don’t have enough tokens.

  • Automatic refunds: If a run fails, its tokens go straight back to your wallet.

  • Token packs: Need more before your monthly reset? Buy a one-off token pack on any plan, from Settings → Buy tokens or the pricing page. Bought tokens never expire, and your monthly allowance is always spent first.

  • See what’s yours: Your token meter, sidebar and subscription card show how many of your tokens were bought, so you know exactly what carries over past the reset. Your process history shows the tokens charged for each run.

  • Clearer “out of tokens” messages: The pop-up you see when you run out of tokens has been reworded, covers both GoPilot and GoBox, and takes you straight to buying more.

💳 Fairer Upgrades

  • Credit for unused tokens: When you upgrade from Pro to Business, you pay the Business price minus a credit for your unused Pro tokens. Your billing cycle restarts and you get the full Business allowance straight away.

  • Bank checks handled smoothly: If your bank asks you to confirm a payment (3-D Secure), or your card is declined, you’re taken to Stripe’s secure payment page to finish it instead of seeing an error. Your plan changes only once the payment goes through.

🧭 A Guided Tour

  • Try before you sign up: Visitors to Try GoPilot get a guided tour that ends at sign-in.

  • Picks up where you left off: After you sign in, the tour shows only the steps you haven’t seen yet.

  • A full tour for new users: If you sign in for the first time without taking the guest tour, you get a complete walkthrough of the app.

🎨 Design & Mobile

  • One consistent layout: Every page now shares the same frame, so the app feels the same wherever you are.

  • Refreshed process pages: The process pages have been reworked to be clearer and easier to follow.

  • Mobile chat: Chat on mobile now matches desktop. Every service that needs a map has a floating map button, so you can check the map without leaving the conversation.

  • New settings icon, plus many smaller visual touch-ups across the app.

🛠 Fixes

  • A TIFF uploaded to a GoPilot chat could occasionally be lost while it was still uploading. It is now kept safe until the upload finishes.

  • The Mapbox imagery limit is now checked when you submit a run, so a run over the limit is stopped before it starts.
